As per CAHLN tradition, laboratorians meet up one night of the conference for an evening of great local food, conversation and entertainment. This year, we will be hosting the gala in historic Creelman hall, located steps away from the conference venue. A gourmet, locally-sourced meal will be served with wine, and a cash bar will be available. Guelph is known as Canada’s food university and we aim to show you our best! We are located close to the Niagara wine region, so local wines will be available.
During dinner, enjoy a demonstration of highland dance, by an award winning local dance troupe, a local tradition and an homage to our college’s Scottish roots. After dinner, listen or join in with local Ceili band, who will lead us in this rousing, easy to join in Irish dance. No experience required. Not sure what a Ceili is? Find out here.
At the Tuesday Night Gala, we will also be presenting our awards for Laboratorian of the Year, and the Graduate Student Award. If you haven’t gotten a ticket yet, you can get one at our EventBrite page, or at our U of Guelph registration page if you’re paying using U of G Departmental Coding.
Below is our menu for the evening. Note that the ticket for dinner will include wine that is served with dinner.Dinner Menu June 6
